The Womens leagues are just about finished and the respective winners announced prior to the Play Off weekend to be held in Sheffield in a week or two.
Our league, the Midlands 1 was won by the Milton Keynes Falcons, a well disciplined and skilfull team.
The South 1 was won by Basingstoke Bison with another good season after the return of one or two influential players.
Whilst the North 1 went to the Flintshire Furies, who after a couple of year in the wilderness have come back strongly with a super season.
The Premier seems to be going the way of Slough, with Sheffield, Bracknell and outsiders Hull making the top four.
Hull or Kingston are a credit to the sport with a good programme of development which draws many of the younger and better players from the North in and that has resulted in this years success.
The last placed team seems to be between Newcastle and Cardiff and whilst Cardiff have had a difficult season at least they have played most of their fixtures unlike some others. Good luck to everyone in the play offs.

Well its the end of the season and what a different season that was. Some high's and some low's but at last some smiles.
After a good start things kind of went a little pear shaped for us but a true team will always persevere and ultimately be stronger for it.
As we look forward to the Swindon Womens Tournament thoughts will also turn to next season and the changes that may bring with it.
Who's coming, who's going, what league structure will we be lumbered with...who knows, but one things for sure the Coventry Phoenix will be here and will be getting stronger than before.
We already have most players declaring their commitment towards next season, and whilst we wait for interesting news on the whole International Transfer Card fiasco, we can now concentrate on getting new people on the ice and working with the many new players seeking to join and already committed to do so.
Remember that there is always room for more so if your interested just give us a call.

Not much to shout about in the last few games, other than the success of the Oxford
University game with the Phoenix winning 12-
Well I guess thats the way the cookie crumbles and you can only grin and bare it and just get on with it.
A last game of the season Pizza was enjoyed by the team with the odd beverage in Crosbys the home bar of the Coventry Blaze.
